Friday 13th April - Hoax Bomb Threat
A number of schools in the East Riding area have received a hoax email regarding a bomb threat this morning, Kings Mill School being one of them.
After taking advice from the East Riding Council and Humberside Police the decision was made for the school to remain open. Please be assured that the staff are remaining vigilant for any suspicious activity and the safety of the pupils is our paramount concern.
We have received the following statement from Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Miller of Humberside Police:
"We've been made aware of a hoax email sent to schools in the force area this morning 13 April 2018.
We want to categorically reassure parents and children, staff and the wider public that this is a non-credible threat that has been sent nationwide. Our primary concern is to ensure that schools are given guidance, up -to-date information and reassurance and above all that everyone is safe.
Community officers have already been sent to schools to provide that reassurance"
