Friends of Kings Mill
At Kings Mill we are very fortunate to have an active 'Friends Group' as this is now not the case in many schools. We are a small friendly group of parents, carers, grandparents and volunteers.
We meet at the main site coffee shop as part of the Parent Group on the last Friday of every month at 10.30am. Just come along for coffee, cake, chat and fun.
Our aim is to fund raise for the extras that the school budget is unable to provide. The main fundraising events are usually the Christmas and Summer Fayres but we hold various raffles throughout the school year.
Recently we have funded the following:-
- Class trip to The Deep
- Christmas gift to each class
- Outdoor play equipment
- Seating and storage for the hydro pool area
- Pool equipment
- Sport Polo-shirts for the secondary department
There is no commitment to being a 'friend' just come along whenever you have time. Everyone is welcome, however we would like to welcome parents from the lower end of the school so that the good work can continue for years to come.
